"...I Am an Empty Sinner. You are a Full Christ!"

"Lord, You have told me who You are, You have in mercy revealed Yourself to me, I know You to be that blessed 'gift of God' which alone can save and satisfy my soul.  The depth and compass of heavenly love are manifested in You, and You have shown me, not my need only, but the sufficiency of Your grace and power to meet it.  I am an empty sinner, You are a full Christ!"

Making Melody to the LORD With Your Heart

"Making melody to the LORD with your heart" (Ephesians 5:19) and hands!!

Thank you, LORD, for such a JOY!
Never did we imagine that late June day 4 1/2 years ago that Katherine would be sitting here again in our home teaching the babe of our friends, Maria and Joshua, music lessons.  What an exciting afternoon Katherine enjoyed this past week with Micah at our piano

I am soo very thankful for Katherine's love for the LORD, music, and young children.
It only seemed right for her to put the three together to embark on a new journey of teaching music lessons.
We are immensely thankful for the circumstances that lead us to step out in faith and begin this new adventure.  We're especially thankful for Micah's parents who entrusted their precious firstborn daughter to Katherine to teach.
Evidently Micah was pretty persistent in telling them she wanted to learn to play the piano, so the timing of our desires with Micah's desires came together in a timely way, as only the LORD could do!  We are so very thankful and blessed!

Thank you, Mr. Norman Taccati, Mrs. Julie Hoffman, and Mrs. Julia Moltmaker for loving the LORD, and for influencing Katherine in such a way that causes her to want to share her love for music with others.  Each of you continue to give to all of us in the Gray household.

We are looking so very forward to seeing what the LORD will do to help Katherine help Micah learn to 'make melody' to the glory of God, and to the refreshment of the souls of those around her.

The aim and final end of all music should be none other than the glory of God and the refreshment of the soul.

Love Binds Everything Together in Perfect Harmony

"Families are like quilts, lives pieced and stitched together;  Colored by happiness and tears;  Bound by memories and  love;  Cherished throughout the years!"
-Author Unknown

I cherish sweet memories I have of my Great Grandma Eula Bell!!

Isn't she beautiful???  I remember her best as a tiny, fireball who used to race us to the bathroom to wash hands before a meal.  In every way imaginable, she represents great strength of heart and mind to me.
One of the last quilt tops she made before she passed away was cut up (yes, initially I was horrified, but...) then put into frames and given to her descendants.  I L♥️VE what this corner of my house represents.

There's no greater truth that exemplifies such a L♥️VE as that which Paul wrote about to the Family of Believers in Colossae...

"If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.

For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

Put to death therefore what is earthly in you:  sexual immoraility, impurity, passion,  evil desire, and coveteousness, which is idolatry.

On account of these the wrath of God is coming.

In these you too once walked, when you were living in them.

But now you must put them all away:  anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth.

Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old self with its practices

and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator.

Here there is not Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free; but Christ is all, and in all.

Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved,

compassionate hearts,
kindness,
humility,
meekness,
and patience, bearing with one another and,
if one has a complaint against another,
forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.

And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.

And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body.  And be thankful.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

This Job Is a Gift

"This job has been given to me to do.  Therefore, it is a gift.  Therefore, it is a privilege.  Therefore, it is an offering I may make to God.  Therefore, it is to be done gladly, if it is to be done for Him.  Here, not somewhere else, I may learn God's way.  In this job, not in some other, God looks for faithfulness."  Elisabeth Elliot
