Surely Goodness and Mercy Shall Follow Me!!

"...Faith looks back upon the past, for her battles have strengthened her, and her victories have given her courage. She remembers that God never has failed her; nay, that He never did once fail any of His children. She recollecteth times of great peril, when deliverance came; hours of awful need, when as her day her strength was found, and she cries, "No, I never will be led to think that He can change and leave His servant now. Hitherto the Lord hath helped me, and He will help me still." Thus faith views each promise in its connection with the Promise-Giver, and, because she does so, can with assurance say, "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life!"

He Will Hold Me Fast

Tonight I heard this song for the first time while streaming the T4G (Together for the Gospel) conference that is taking place in Louisville, KY this week.  It's always a blessing to tune in to live Bible conferences, and to hear godly men who are theologically studied on the scriptures.  The music is an exciting added blessing to hear, and I can't wait to share a few other songs that have also encouraged me tonight. 😊

When I found this video presentation of this song, my heart was stirred to tears to hear and watch this family sing.  The children are young (5, 4, and 2), yet not too young to learn the truths of the Scripture, that Our Faithful, unchanging Savior, Jesus Christ has purchased our salvation for eternity.  Their faith is secure in everything He is, and was accomplished at the cross.  There is not one thing they could ever do to secure their salvation.
I pray this family's presentation of an awesome old hymn will bless you as it has me.

He Will Hold Me Fast
Verse 1-
When I fear my faith will fail,
Christ will hold me fast;
When the tempter would prevail,
He will hold me fast.
I could never keep my hold
Through life’s fearful path;
For my love is often cold;
He must hold me fast.

Chorus-
He will hold me fast,
He will hold me fast;
For my Savior loves me so,
He will hold me fast.

Verse 2-
Those He saves are His delight,
Christ will hold me fast;
Precious in his holy sight,
He will hold me fast.
He’ll not let my soul be lost;
His promises shall last;
Bought by Him at such a cost,
He will hold me fast.
(Chorus)

Verse 3-
For my life He bled and died,
Christ will hold me fast;
Justice has been satisfied;
He will hold me fast.
Raised with Him to endless life,
He will hold me fast
‘Till our faith is turned to sight,
When He comes at last!
(Chorus-repeat)

Come, All Ye Pining, Hungry, Poor

Lord, we adore thy boundless grace,
The heights and depths unknown,
Of pardon, life, and joy, and peace,
In thy beloved Son.
Chorus:
Come, all ye pining, hungry poor,
The Saviour’s bounty taste;
Behold a never-failing store
For every willing guest.
O wondrous gifts of love divine,
Dear Source of every good;
Jesus, in thee what glories shine!
How rich thy flowing blood!
Here shall your numerous wants receive
A free, a full supply;
He has unmeasured bliss to give,
And joys that never die.
The additional lyrics below are not included in this song.....http://youtu.be/r1Hs3QbvGVY
Can those, who hear the Saviour's voice,
Prefer earth's empty toys,
(Ah! wretched souls! ah, fatal choice!)
To everlasting joys?
Lord, bring unwilling souls to thee,
With sweet resistless pow'r;
Thy boundless grace, let rebels see,
And at thy feet adore.
