Give Them Hope,…Praise,…Love Every Day

I can remember when you fit in the palm of my hand.

Felt so good in it, no bigger than a minute.

How it amazes me, you're changing with every blink.

Faster than a flower blooms they grow up all too soon.

So let them be little, cause they're only that way for a while.

Give them hope, give them praise, give them love, every day.

Let em cry, let em giggle, let them sleep in the middle.

Oh, just let them be little.

I've never felt so much in one little tender touch.

I live for those kisses, prayers and your wishes.

Now that you're teaching me things only a child can see.

Every night while we're on our knees all I ask is please

Let them be little, cause they're only that way for a while.

Give them hope, give them praise, give them love, everyday.

Let em cry, let em giggle, let them sleep in the middle.

Oh just let them be little.

So innocent, a precious soul, you turn around.

Its time to let them go.

So let them be little, cause they're only that way for a while.

Give them hope, give them praise, give them love, every day.

Let em cry, let em giggle, let them sleep in the middle.

Oh, just let them be little

Let them be little

In less than 4 weeks this babe will be wed.

The days were long with four young ones, but the years were short.

Very short.

Much too short!

Still with You

Your eyes saw my unformed substance;  in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.

How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!

How vast is the sum of them!  If I would count them, they are more than the sand.

I awake, and I am still with you.

Psalm 139:16-18

For a little over a brief week, we celebrated God’s gracious giving of your precious life.  We anticipated the details of every possibility we’d share with you. All of us!  We thanked the Lord over and over again for creating you, for giving you to your mommy and daddy, who have long awaited you. Before we knew of you, we trusted the Lord for you.  So, imagine our excitement for learning you were on the way… 🙌🏼🥰❤️!!  Many family and friends rejoiced with us about you!!

Yesterday we learned you are no longer coming.   Our hearts are sorely sad!  We are sorry we will not soon experience sharing life together.  We treasure your worth, and will miss your presence!! Your memory will not be vain!

If I didn’t know and trust that God is still good and faithful in this sad providence, I could linger to feel discouraged, but I must discipline my heart to think more of His just ways regarding  your departure.

Another passage comforts me…

“Remember my affliction and my wanderings, the wormwood and the gall!

My soul continually remembers it, and is bowed down within me.

But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope:

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end;

They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

‘The Lord is my portion,’ says my soul, ‘therefore I will hope in him.’

The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.

It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.”

Lamentations 3:19-26

We will silently wait and pray to seek the Lord‘s presence as we grieve your departure.

It comforts me to also remember Psalm 16:11 says, “…in your presence there is fullness of joy.”

May we all know His fullness of joy and presence by seeking His fellowship.  He thought of you, and created you.  He reigns in all the details of His giving and taking.  Blessed be His name (Job 1:21).

Lord willing, I hope to meet you one day so that we may rejoice to live with Him, together.

I love you, Baby Gray.
